Everyday math, from simple sums to expressions.

Calculate right in your browser

CalculateSite brings together free tools for everyday math, money, dates, and measurements, with formulas, worked examples, and clear rounding rules.

Multiply with * or ×, not the letter x. Divide with / or ÷.

% means ÷ 100: 200 + 10% = 200.1.

Percentage examples

10% of 200: 200 × 10% = 20

How to use this calculator

Order of operations

Parentheses come first, then multiplication and division, then addition and subtraction.

2 + 3 × 4 = 14

Using percentages

% divides the preceding value by 100. Use multiplication to find a percentage of a number.

200 × 10% = 20

To increase 200 by 10%, enter 200 × (1 + 10%) = 220. Entering 200 + 10% evaluates to 200.1.

Reading your result

Results show up to 10 decimal places, with unnecessary trailing zeros removed. ≈ means rounding for display changed the calculated value.

1 ÷ 3 ≈ 0.3333333333

Calculations use 60 significant digits internally. A result without ≈ can still reflect internal rounding. See the calculation policy for precision limits.

Use a period for decimals. Thousands separators are accepted when correctly grouped, as in 1,000.50; use 1.5 for one and a half. Enter an explicit multiplication sign, as in 2 × (3 + 4). Currency symbols and scientific notation are not supported. Expressions can contain up to 256 characters. Intermediate values and results must have an absolute value no greater than 1050. Your inputs and calculation history stay in your browser.
