Your calculations
Our calculators process the numbers and expressions you enter in your browser. The calculator code does not send your inputs or results to a server. You do not need an account to use the calculators.
All calculators can add a summary and result to Recent calculations on the home page after a successful calculation. Only the five latest entries are kept. This history uses sessionStorage in your current browser tab, so it remains available when you move between pages on the same site or refresh. We do not store it on a server, in cookies, or in localStorage.
The Standard Calculator also stores the expression for reuse. New history entries from the Loan Payment, Discount, Date Difference, Aspect Ratio, Business Days, and Nth Weekday Calculators and the Recipe Scaler also store the input values and options needed to restore the calculation. These include recipe names, amounts, and units, and the Business Days mode, dates, weekend schedule, entered holidays, and the endpoint choices, offset, or range limits used by that mode. These use the same five-entry limit and session storage described above.
Use “Clear all” in Recent calculations to delete this tab’s history. A browser normally clears session storage when the tab’s session ends, but restoring or duplicating a tab may restore or copy its history. Closing a tab is therefore not a guaranteed way to delete it.
If session storage is unavailable, calculations still work and history is kept temporarily on the current page only. The home page displays a notice when this happens. For details about what creates an entry and what happens when you select one, read our calculation policy.
Calculation links and input files you choose to use
The Recipe Cost Calculator stores the serving count, ingredient names and order, unit labels, package prices, package quantities, and quantities used in the same five-entry, same-tab history. Share links and JSON input files contain those conditions; result copies and CSV also contain calculated ingredient and serving costs. Files are generated or read locally in your browser without uploading their contents. Anyone with a link, copy, or file can read the names, prices, and quantities. Resetting inputs or clearing this tab's history does not remove downloaded or shared copies.
The Timesheet Calculator stores shift names and order, start and end clock times, same-day or next-day choices, and break minutes in the same five-entry, same-tab history. Its share links and JSON input files contain those conditions; result copies and CSV also contain the calculated durations. Files are generated or read in your browser without uploading their contents. Anyone with the link, copy, or file can read the shift details. Resetting the form or clearing this tab's history does not delete downloaded or shared copies.
The Shared Expense Calculator stores participant names and order, expense descriptions and amounts, payers, and selected sharing participants in the same five-entry, same-tab history. Its Copy link and JSON input files contain those conditions; settlement copies and CSV contain names, amounts, and allocations. All are generated or read in your browser without uploading their contents. Anyone with a link or file can read it. Shared copies and downloaded files are not removed when you reset inputs or clear this tab's history.
The Date Range Overlap Calculator stores range names and order, start and end dates, and the end-date inclusion choice in the same five-entry, same-tab history. Its share links and JSON input files contain these conditions, and result copies and CSV contain the conditions and results. Files are generated or read locally in your browser without uploading their contents. Anyone with a link, copy, or file can read the names and dates, so avoid including private schedule details you do not want to share. Resetting inputs or clearing this tab's history does not remove downloaded or shared copies.
The Prorated Cost Calculator stores the full-period amount, billing-period dates, selected-period dates, and end-date choice in the same five-entry, same-tab history. Share links and JSON input files contain these conditions; result copies and CSV also include the calculated amounts and day counts. Files are generated or read locally in your browser without uploading their contents. Anyone with a link, copy, or file can read the amounts and dates. Resetting inputs or clearing this tab's history does not remove downloaded or shared copies.
The Payment Fee Calculator stores the mode, payment or target-net amount, percentage fee, and fixed fee in the same five-entry, same-tab history. Share links and JSON input files contain those conditions; result copies and CSV also contain the calculated fee, payment, and net amounts. Files are generated or read locally in your browser without uploading their contents. Anyone with a link, copy, or file can read the amounts and rates. Resetting inputs or clearing this tab's history does not remove downloaded or shared copies.
Nth Weekday history and links contain the date range, monthly occurrence, and selected day of the week. Its date-list copy and CSV export include the calculation conditions and results. CSV files are generated locally in your browser and are not uploaded by the calculator. Downloaded files and copies you share remain outside this tab's history.
The Loan Payment, Discount, Date Difference, Aspect Ratio, Business Days, and Nth Weekday Calculators and the Recipe Scaler let you copy a link after a successful calculation. The link encodes the input values and options, including any Business Days holiday dates, not a stored result. Anyone who receives it can read those values and load them into the calculator. Only share inputs you are comfortable disclosing.
These links put the values after the # in the address, called the URL fragment. Browsers do not include this fragment in the HTTP request for the page. It is processed in the browser, but it is not encrypted and scripts running on the page can access it. The calculator's sharing code does not upload the inputs or create a server-side record.
“Load inputs” in Recent calculations uses the same link format when the inputs fit. Longer conditions use a temporary copy in this tab's session storage to move to the calculator. Our code removes that copy when it is read, rejects it after two minutes, and also attempts to remove it when you clear the history. This is not a publicly shareable short link.
After processing a calculation link, our code attempts to remove the fragment from the current address. Links can still remain in your clipboard, browser history, bookmarks, or messages and services where you have shared them. Resetting a form or clearing Recent calculations does not delete those copies or revoke a shared link. Opening a link fills inputs without automatically calculating or adding a new history entry.
The Recipe Scaler can save conditions as a plain JSON file on your device. Loading a file reads and validates it in your browser without uploading its contents to our server. A file can contain ingredient names, amounts, units, serving counts, and display settings. Anyone with a copy can read these values. Deleting browser history or resetting the form does not delete downloaded files or copies you have sent to other people or services.
Website hosting and security
Cloudflare Pages hosts this website, and Cloudflare delivers and helps protect it. Handling web requests involves technical information such as IP addresses, traffic routing data, and system configuration information. This is separate from the numbers you enter into our calculators.
See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy for details about its processing of information from visitors to websites that use its services.
Website analytics
The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure site usage and page performance, such as page views, referring websites, browser and device information, and loading times. These reports help identify commonly used pages and performance problems.
Cloudflare states that Web Analytics does not use cookies or local storage to measure usage and does not fingerprint individual visitors. Our calculator code does not include your entered values or results in analytics events.
Read more about Cloudflare Web Analytics and its data collection.
When you contact us
If you email us, we receive your email address, any sender name you provide, your message, and any attachments you choose to include. We use this information to respond to your request, investigate reported problems, or consider your suggestions.
Our contact mailbox uses Gmail. Email is processed by the services used to send and receive it; Google’s handling of information is described in the Google Privacy Policy. Clicking an email link opens your email app. It does not submit a message through this website.
Please only send information needed to explain your request. A calculation error can usually be demonstrated with sample numbers, without including private documents or personal financial details.
Retention and service providers
We retain contact messages for as long as needed to address the request and related follow-up, or to meet applicable legal obligations. You can ask us to delete correspondence using the email address below. The time needed can depend on whether an issue is still being investigated.
Cloudflare and Google process information as part of providing their hosting, analytics, security, and email services. Their own policies describe their retention practices. These providers operate internationally, so information associated with website visits or emails may be processed outside your country.
We do not sell your personal information. Information you send us is used for handling your request, not for a mailing list.
Cookies and browser storage
Our calculator code does not set cookies. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies or local storage for its usage measurements. Depending on which security features apply to a request, Cloudflare may use security-related cookies; see its cookie documentation.
Recent calculations uses this tab’s session storage as explained above. We do not use Google Analytics on this website.
Planned advertising
CalculateSite is preparing to use Google AdSense to support the website. Advertising is not currently enabled. The following information describes how advertising would work when introduced; it does not mean advertising cookies are currently being set by this website.
When Google ads are enabled, Google and other advertising providers may use cookies to select and serve ads based on your earlier visits to this website or other websites. Google’s advertising cookies can allow Google and its partners to personalize ads across participating websites, subject to your choices and the requirements that apply to you.
Advertising services may process information such as your IP address, browser and device information, visited pages, cookie identifiers, and interactions with ads for ad delivery, measurement, and fraud prevention. We will not intentionally include calculator inputs, results, or Recent calculations entries in advertising requests or use them to personalize ads.
Learn how Google processes information through sites and apps that use its services and read about Google advertising technologies. Before advertising is enabled, we will update this policy to reflect the providers and privacy controls actually in use.
Advertising and your privacy choices
There is currently no advertising consent choice to change on CalculateSite because advertising is not enabled. Before introducing ads, we will provide the consent and privacy controls appropriate to the advertising services and visitors’ regions.
You can review Google’s personalized-ad settings in My Ad Center. Google also provides a choice for personalized ads on partner websites and apps. For participating third-party advertising companies, visit Digital Advertising Alliance consumer choices. These external choices do not submit a consent decision to this website and do not necessarily stop all advertising.
For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, our planned advertising setup will use a Google-certified consent management platform. Where consent is required, it will offer choices about advertising data use and a way to revisit those choices. Non-personalized ads can still involve cookies or similar storage; selecting them does not automatically remove every consent requirement.
Where applicable, advertising privacy controls will also include choices for visitors covered by US state privacy requirements. The exact controls and participating providers will be described here when advertising is enabled.
You can also manage or delete cookies through your browser. Those settings may affect other websites and may reset choices you have made. For questions about CalculateSite’s handling of information, contact us below.
Your questions and requests
For questions about this policy or information you have sent us, email [email protected]. You can ask about access to, correction of, or deletion of information you provided. We will review your request and respond in accordance with the requirements that apply to it. We may need enough information to verify that the request relates to you.
We cannot retrieve your calculator history from our servers, because our calculators do not send or store it there.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our data practices change and revise the date below.
